hile the research, production, and sale of Lisa Levine's jewelry happen in her luminous store/studio located in Williamsburg, the imagination behind the collection moves across oceans, deserts, and on into other times. Levine's seemingly bottomless spring of inspiration is fed by architecture, patterns, sea life, sacred geometry, and the mission to mingle the rigid with the sensual, the fabricated with the organic. She describes the creation of each piece as "a bit of a search, an open experiment—my raw materials inspire and often dictate the final design. It seems I only help them to get there." The end result unites Levine's worldly influences with ethereal pieces that she says, "a woman can wear and work with rather than them wearing her."
The Goods: Ethereal, abstract pieces composed of gold, copper, feathers, silver, coins, and leather.
